Whoooo Loves You?

Even though Dave, The Stamp Slave, thinks he has a corner on the Owl Punch project market, I still have a few creative moments using that tool myself. Actually, my talented downline, Andrea, did this card at one of her Valentine Stamp Classes and I just had to make one...it is so adorable! WHat do you think?

You can easily adapt this card for other occasions that you'd like to send special, handmade cards. Just change up the colors and sentiment. I think it would make the cutest birthday card!

Vintage Valentine

One of the best thing about Stampin' Up products is that so many of them coordinate with each other. In this card, I used the Houndstooth Embossing Folder and paired with the new Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die (125596) from the new Occasions Mini Catalog. The largest Pink Pirouette Heart punched and embossed with the Embosslit has the same pattern.The color combination is Bravo Burgundy/Pink Pirouette/Very Vanilla.

I used our First Edition Designer Series Paper (distressed and sponged), Victoria Crochet Trim, and Vintage Trinkets to "Vintage-ize" this Valentine.

Happy New Year!

I hope you've received your new Occasions Mini by now and are ready to try some fun projects. My monthly stamp clubs will be using lots of the new products and each hostess will have shopping dollars to pick their favorites for free. This 5 x 5 card uses the new Twitterpated Designer Series Paper,Designer Buttons and Blush Blossom Pleated Ribbon. Early Espresso Card Stock forms the base and the greeting is stamped using White Craft Ink. (tip: if your greeting does not stamp clearly, use a white gel pen and carefully fill in the gaps).

On the inside of the card, I used the coordinating Mixed Bunch Set and the White Craft Ink to add a flower. To step up the flower, I punched a scrap of Twitterpated DSP using 3/4" Circle Punch for the flower's center. I didn't want the envelope to beboring so I stamped that, too!

Do You Call Them Lollies Or Rosettes?

One of the most popular embellishments in all the papercrafting magazines lately are the adorable rosettes/lollies made with a scoring tool. Our Simply Scored Tool makes creating these little gems so easy! The 2 best features of the Stampin' Up! Simply Scored are the 1/8" markings and the small markers that allow you to easily spot where your score line should be. In addition to creating this embellishment, this tool makes creating handmade cards a breeze, too!

This month I created some of these rosettes in different sizes to sit on top of gum packages that I am giving to all my stamp club members. Here is a "group photo" of my creations!

Ribbon Holder For Free!

Do I have your attention? I thought so. Well, as many of you know, Dave, The Stamp Slave, is in Haiti for a couple of weeks volunteering as an Emergency Room Nurse. He went there a year or so ago after the earthquake and the Lord provided another opportunity for him to go again for 2 weeks.

What does Haiti have to do with a ribbon holder you might ask. Well, I have quite a few rolls of ribbon that I haven't been able to store. I didn't want to buy more holders since we live in an apartment right now and don't have a lot of space. Usually I would hit up Dave to make me something, but since he's gone I had to be creative. Look what I came up with! (I have never seen this anywhere else, so if you came up with this before, I guess great minds think alike...ha!)

I used a wire coat hanger that was forlornly hanging in my closet (hence, the "free" ribbon holder"), untwisted the wire part at the top, loaded my spools of ribbon, (17 to be exact) and then bent each end over my shelf and...voila!

So, not only am I now your favorite Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I am your favorite Bargain Idea of the Day person, too...lol!

Beyond The Garden Times Three

I just absolutely love our new Product Suites! One of my favorites is Beyond The Garden. The colors in the Designer Series Paper are so bright and beautiful and when you combine with the Stampin' Emboss Powder and coordinating ribbons you have the perfect start to beautiful handmade cards or scrapbook pages.
